What makes our V-DAF system unique is that our DAF units are vertical.
We skim solids from the top and bottom of the tanks with automated controls. They are significantly larger in volume, so the water moves much slower through the system, allowing more reaction time and better solids separation.
More reaction time means less chemicals are required; they work better when the water slows down. Also we use 50% less chemicals that results in dramatic cost savings. Typically, this saves $0.05/bbl on a treatment cost.

We use the same fundamentals of recycled water treatment; our systems just allow them to work more efficiently. The result is a benefit to you. Our systems efficiently remove the oil, before chemical treatment, without an AST. The chemistry does not have to fight the oil to reach the ORP target. Also, oil is not in the solids, which complicates solids management. If you have an AST, we will split our system and remove the oil BEFORE the water enters it. This prevents large clean-up costs and improves AST performance.
Lower Chemical Cost
Total chemical savings can be >5¢ per bbl. Our system efficiently removes the oil before treatment. This lowers the oxidizers consumption. Exponentially more reaction time in the system gives the chemistry more time to work without overdosing.
Lower Solids Cost
Lower polymer usage makes less solids. Our tanks have cone bottoms with automated solids suction and skimming. Tanks do not require intermittent clean out. We use less polymer, so we generate a smaller volume of solids. The solids do not agglomerate and are easier to manage and dispose of.
